In Goa’s Saturday Night Bazaar, Arpora Beach, GOA, India
by TomBel on Jun.19, 2008, under beach time, India
Here’s Saturday night entertainment overlooking the Baga river. In Goa’s Night market on Arpora Beach begins at 4 pm and continues up to 11 pm offering a plethora of food stalls, vendor stalls selling tapestries, bed spreads, t-shirts, clothing, jewelery and everything else you can think of under the Goan sun. Several alcohol stalls lend ambience and the central stage that has featured artists like Prem Joshua is where most people head to with a drink in hand. If you are living in GOA (even if for a few months), In Goa’s is where you would head to a to meet and to be met. And if you are here as a tourist it’s your opportunity to glimpse at Goa’s sun-kissed crowd. A friend who never returns without shopping in Goa insists that in spite of its hedonistic appearance the market is straight and well organized.

Stann Creek is Belize’s second largest district with 986 square miles of possibilities for the adventure inclined traveler. Beginning just a few miles inland, the world’s first jaguar preserve, a wealth of tropical forests, and a good portion of the Maya Mountains including Victoria Peak. Little villages and acres of citrus groves characterize the Stann Creek valley before you get to the home of the Garifuna people, Dangriga. From Dangriga down to Placencia, the coastal towns and villages each have something special to offer. There are real beaches here, and offshore the blue water belies a world of marine wonder that includes the endangered manatee and the fabled coral reef.
